\u2705 Bug\u00fcn, \u00d6nce \u00d6\u011fretmen Vakf\u0131 ve Maya Okullar\u0131 i\u015f birli\u011fiyle, ICSE Bilim Fabrikas\u0131 \u00e7at\u0131s\u0131 alt\u0131nda, gezegenimizin sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 koruma amac\u0131 g\u00fcden Pet Journey projemizin \u00f6nemli bir a\u015famas\u0131n\u0131 tamamlad\u0131k. Beynam Emine Eri\u015fen \u0130lkokulu \u00f6\u011frencileri taraf\u0131ndan toplanan PET \u015fi\u015feler, plastik kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n zararlar\u0131n\u0131 vurgulamak i\u00e7in e\u011fitici bir faaliyete d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcld\u00fc. Bu \u015fi\u015feler \u00e7ocuklar taraf\u0131ndan oyuncaklara d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcl\u00fcrken, plastik at\u0131klar\u0131n \u00e7evremize ve sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131za verdi\u011fi zararlar\u0131 da g\u00f6zler \u00f6n\u00fcne serdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26d4\ufe0f Plastikler, hormonal dengesizliklere, \u00fcreme sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 sorunlar\u0131na ve hatta kansere yol a\u00e7abilen BPA ve ftalatlar i\u00e7erir. Vah\u015fi ya\u015famda, deniz kaplumba\u011falar\u0131n\u0131n %86’s\u0131, deniz ku\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n %44’\u00fc ve deniz memelilerinin %43’\u00fc plastik kirlili\u011fi nedeniyle ciddi sa\u011fl\u0131k sorunlar\u0131 ya\u015famaktad\u0131r. \u00c7evre kirlili\u011fi, \u0131\u015f\u0131k seviyelerini azaltarak ve \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcnm\u00fc\u015f oksijen kaynaklar\u0131n\u0131 t\u00fcketerek dolayl\u0131 olarak d\u00fcnyadaki t\u00fcm ya\u015fam\u0131 tehdit etmektedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u267b\ufe0f Toplanan PET \u015fi\u015feleri titizlikle i\u015fledik ve \u00f6\u011frencilere geri d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcn \u00f6nemini anlatmak i\u00e7in etkile\u015fimli bir istasyon kurarak bir filament makinesine yerle\u015ftirdik. Bu istasyon, projemizin detaylar\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6\u011frencilere yak\u0131ndan g\u00f6stermek i\u00e7in tasarland\u0131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc4f Faaliyetlerimiz, Ankara’daki bir yerel STK taraf\u0131ndan okula ba\u011f\u0131\u015flanan bir 3D yaz\u0131c\u0131 ile desteklendi. Projemiz \u015fimdi Ankara’n\u0131n di\u011fer il\u00e7elerine, Javsu ve Bala Belediyesi de dahil olmak \u00fczere daha geni\u015f bir alana yay\u0131l\u0131yor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Everyone!\u2b07\ufe0f\u2b07\ufe0f\u2b07\ufe0f (This is Open Schooling)

\u2705Today, in collaboration with \u00d6nce \u00d6\u011fretmen Vakf\u0131 and Maya Schools, and under the ICSE Science Factory, we completed an important phase of our Pet Journey project, which aims to protect our planet’s health. The PET bottles collected by students from Beynam Emine Eri\u015fen Elementary School were transformed into an educational activity to highlight the harms of plastic use. As these bottles were creatively turned into toys by the children, they also showcased the damages that plastic waste inflicts on our environment and health.

\u26d4\ufe0fPlastics contain BPA and phthalates, which can lead to hormonal imbalances, reproductive health issues, and even cancer. In wildlife, a significant number of sea creatures, such as 86% of sea turtles, 44% of sea birds, and 43% of marine mammals, suffer severe health problems due to plastic pollution. Environmental pollution indirectly threatens all life on earth by reducing light levels and depleting dissolved oxygen resources.

\u267b\ufe0fWe meticulously processed the collected PET bottles and placed them in a filament machine, setting up an interactive station to educate the students about the importance of recycling. This station was designed to give students a close-up look at the details of our project.

\ud83d\udc4fOur activities were supported by a local NGO in Ankara, which donated a 3D printer to the school. Our project is now spreading to other districts of Ankara, including Javsu and Bala Municipality, reaching a broader area.

\u2764\ufe0fWe crowned this special day with cotton candy, popcorn, and fun activities organized for the children.
